Paraffin Control

Crude oils can contain naturally occurring long chains of n-paraffin’s that can give issues with precipitation of wax crystals at a lower temperature or if lower molecular weight components are lost during production. Paraffin formation can be minimised by the use of surfactant based dispersants, these can also give beneficial properties in the removal of any paraffin deposits that have formed during production.

The paraffin control additive offered by Lankem can be used in the formulation of inhibition systems and to optimise the performance of hot oiling treatments to remove formed deposits. These products are based on alkyl benzene sulfonic acids and alkyl benzene sulfonates.
