Kemsurf SBE acid

Kemsurf SBE acid is a high‑active anionic surfactant based on dodecyl benzene sulphonic acid, manufactured by SO₃ sulphonation of a linear alkylbenzene. The use of a narrow‑cut, straight chain alkylate provides consistent quality and ensures the product is readily biodegradable.
 

Kemsurf SBE acid acts as a key intermediate for the production of anionic surfactants, delivering excellent detergency, wetting, and emulsification performance once neutralised to the corresponding salt. The neutralised derivatives offer strong surface activity, enabling efficient removal of oily and hydrophobic soils across a wide range of formulations. 

 

The product is particularly suited for use as a raw material in detergent manufacture, including both household and industrial cleaning systems. It can be neutralised with a variety of bases, such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonia, or amines, providing flexibility in formulation design and end‑use performance.
