Manufactured by the esterification of maleic anhydride with is then sulphated using sodium bisulphite.

Key Properties:

​

  • Excellent solubilising agent

  • Used to form microemulsions

  • Moderate tolerance to hard water

  • Stable at pH range of 1 to 10

Uses:

​

  • Textiles: wetting agent to improve dyestuff dispersibility and speed up the wetting and penetration of resin treatments

  • Emulsifier/wetter in dry cleaning applications

  • Dispersing agent for pigments into organic media

  • De-watering agent in a mineral oil-based system

  • Dispersing and wetting agent in wettable powders

  • Emulsion Polymerisation

  • Stabiliser for hydrophilic colloids

Wetting draves 0.5g/l: Classed as a powerful wetting agent
